PURPOSE: A method for verifying the error in the wheel speed of a vehicle brake system is provided to display an error message by comparing the wheel speed of driving wheels and driven wheels to the average wheel speed when an error is out of an allowable range. CONSTITUTION: A method for verifying the error in the wheel speed of a vehicle brake system comprises the steps of inputting wheel speed data(S400), calculating average wheel speeds(T) of respective wheels(S402), comparing the engine rpm of an engine ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to the average wheel speed(F) of the driving wheels(S404), deciding if the result of comparison is within an allowable range of error(S406), and displaying an error message on a display unit unless the result of comparison is within an allowable range of error(S408).
