PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional switch used mainly for a portable communication device which can be miniaturized, is easy to assemble and low in cost, and to provide an electronic device with this switch. SOLUTION: The lower surface of a middle part 14A of a nearly-S-shaped contacting chip 14 is brought into contact with a common contact 12 planted in the bottom base inside a case 11, the end of an extended arm element 14B is opposed to fixed contacts 13A and 13B at a prescribed spatial interval, the lower surface of the end of a moving element 15A touches the end of the arm element 14B in the upper space, a nearly S-shaped reversal spring 15 held in a state of bending in the inner wall of the case 11 is provided, and a extended arm-shaped curving element 15B touches a pushing element 17C provided in the lower surface of an operation body 17, installed with rotational and set vertically movable at the end of the moving element 15A of the nearly S-shaped reversal spring 15. The multidirectional switch, which can be miniaturized is easy to assemble and low in cost, can be obtained.
