PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing di-t-butyldicarbonate. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for producing di-t-butyldicarbonate featured by that when di-t-butyldicarbonate is produced by reacting a metal t-butyl carbonate with methanesulfonyl chloride, 4.5 wt.% or less of t-butanol is existed based on the metal t-butyl carbonate.
