PURPOSE: Provided are a precast T-shaped girder and a new 'L'-shape arrangement of dapped end of T-shaped slab to reduce stair height of a building by adapting a suitable arrangement of the dapped end to amount of reinforcing bars required. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises reinforcing inclined 'L'-shape hanging bar(4) at dapped end of T shape slab; and utilizing another reinforced hanging bar to result in reinforcement of general T-shaped and improved dapped end. The hanging bars are mounted at the dapped end and slopping to the end. The method is featured to supplement negative affects of an arrangement of vertical stirrup reinforcing bars near nib area of the dapped end of the improved T-shape slab. By the method, it is accomplished to improve shear strength around the dapped end and to enhance quality of the precast product.
