PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a retrieval result of high precision by extracting words and noun phrases which are suitable for retrieval by conducting a language analysis of a retrieval request composed of multiple section descriptions inputted in a natural language and then increasing the weighting of words and noun phrases which are common to multiple sections while adjusting proper weighting between the words and noun phrases. SOLUTION: A language analyzing means 12 conducts the language analysis of the retrieval request which is inputted from a retrieval request inputting means 11 and composed of multiple section descriptions to extract words and noun phrase composed of multiple words as elements of retrieval conditions. A retrieval condition generating means 13 merges the extracted words and noun phrases by specific operators and weights the words and noun phrases as specified to generate retrieval conditions. A document retrieving means 14 extracts a document which meets the generated retrieval conditions from a document database 15.
