PURPOSE: A toothpick is provided to minimize the size of a hole between teeth and teethridge to be produced because a user picks his/her teeth, thus effectively preventing tooth decay. CONSTITUTION: The toothpick made of starch or a white birch consists of an elongate cylindrical body portion(1), a jaw portion(2) formed to be able to be disposed between teeth and teethridge, and a thin conical picker portion(3) located at the front part of the jaw portion so as to effectively remove food fitted between the teeth and the teethridge. The jaw portion serves to restrict the deep insertion of the toothpick between the teeth and the teethridge.
