PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling compaction roller unit detachable from a self-propelled excavator. SOLUTION: A ground surface 4 after back-filling is compacted efficiently without using an expensive exclusive self-propelled car by detachably installing a base plate 6, in which a rolling compaction roller 5 is mounted on the underside side, on the bottom side of a bucket 3 for excavation so that the rotating shaft of the rolling compaction roller 5 is directed in the horizontal direction of the bucket for excavation for the self-propelled excavator 1 by fittings 7 secured on the top face side of the base plate 6.
