SUBSTANCE: grain drier has at least three drying units communicated one with another: upper drying unit 1 for preliminary heating of grain; intermediate drying unit 2 for basic drying of grain; lower drying unit 3 for cooling grain. Drying units 1, 2, 3 are composed of inclined portions (for drying units 1 and 3) and inclined vertical (for drying unit 2) portions of netted columns 4. Intermediate unit 2 is defined by two hollow netted hexahedral parts 5 and 6, with inner part 5 being installed inside outer part 6. Upper drying unit 1 and lower drying unit 3 are made identical, each composed of two hollow netted tetrahedral parts 7 and 8 mounted one inside another. Internal space of inner tetrahedral and hexahedral parts define air distributing chambers 9, 10 and 11 for upper drying unit 1, intermediate drying unit 2 and lower drying unit 3, respectively. Intermediate drying unit 2 is enclosed in heat-insulated box 12 communicated via air duct 13 with air distributing chamber 9 of upper drying unit 1 for preliminary heating of grain. Air duct 13 is equipped with air blower 14. Air distributing chamber 11 of lower drying unit 3 for grain cooling is connected via air duct 15 with air distributing chamber 10 of intermediate drying chamber 2 for basic drying of grain. Air duct 15 is equipped with air cleaning filter 16, air heater 17 and air blower 18. Drying units 1 and 3 have sizes 1.5-2.5 times less than intermediate drying unit 2. Such construction provides reduced power consumption for grain drying process by recovery of used heat-carrier directed through grain layer as well as by utilization of atmospheric air heated during grain cooling process after drying process.
