PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small electromagnetic drive unit in which miniaturization can be realized by eliminating a useless space and sufficient driving force is obtained by improving magnetic efficiency. SOLUTION: The lens barrel using the electromagnetic drive unit is provided with a coil 103 which is guided and supported inside the lens barrel so that the coil can be moved in the optical axis direction, and is wound in parallel to the optical axis direction, and a body to be driven 104 which has a first yoke 101 and a second yoke 105 disposed oppositely so as to clamp the coil 103. A body to be driven 104 has a bifurcate hook-shaped arm part 104C to hold the coil 103 so as to hold the coil 103 from the inner side. The first yoke 101 or the second yoke 105 is inserted inside and held by the coil 103 held by the arm part 104C to place the coil 103 in a magnetic field.
