PURPOSE: A compression storing method of digital image recording system is provided to improve encoding speed and decoding speed and to reduce the amount of data stored. CONSTITUTION: The coordinate of an area where a varied pixel value between frames exists and the number of pixels of the area are obtained. Images of overall frames are stored. Only an area where the pixel value after the first frame is varied is stored. The coordinate and the number of pixels are obtained in a manner that it is judged if the frame currently being read is the first frame or not(S1) and the overall images of the frame are stored or Y value of YUV data of the image of the first frame is compared with Y value of YUV data of the image of the next frame to obtain the number of varied pixels(S2). Then, the number of varied pixels in a block is calculated while the overall frames are increased in blocks.
