PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing an airbag explosion sound is provided to protect a hearing sense of a driver and a passenger by reducing the airbag explosion sound using a vehicle audio device. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing an airbag explosion sound comprises a vehicle audio device(1), an audio power supplier for supplying a power source to the vehicle audio device, a volume control unit for maximally controlling a volume of the vehicle audio device, a decay sound store unit, and a controller(5). The decay sound store unit stores a reverse waveform of the airbag explosion sound, and supplies the decay sound at a sound source input stage. The controller(5) receives a trigger signal from a control module(3) of an airbag system, turns on the audio power supplier, operates the volume control unit, and supplies the decay sound of the decay sound store unit to the sound source input stage of the audio device(1).
