PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to disclose the tip of an optical fiber with a disclosing tool in a coated optical fiber obtained by disposing an exterior coating comprising a thermoplastic resin on the optical fiber by extrusion coating. SOLUTION: A parting colored layer 2 is disposed on an optical fiber 1 by applying and curing a colored UV-curable resin to which 0.5-5 wt.% silicone parting agent has been added and the surface of the parting colored layer 2 is extrusion-coated with a thermoplastic resin to form an exterior coating 3.
