The turbine (1') has a thrust-compensating piston (40') that is provided on rotor (30'). A piston chamber (41') is connected with turbine stages (30-1'-30-5') through fluid line (51'). The axial thrust is exerted on rotor in direction opposite to flow direction of working fluid through turbine stages. The fluid pump is provided for controlling back pressure of fluid discharged from piston chamber (42') so that thrust of thrust-compensating piston is variable during normal operation of turbine. |
