PURPOSE: A method for controlling run-up prevention of a 2→3 shift car is provided to prevent a sense of incongruity due to run-up occurring during traveling of the car and to increase durability of a clutch. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling run-up prevention of a 2→3 shift car includes the steps of checking whether or not oil temperature of a transmission is high when speed of the car is changed into a 2→3 shift in a power-on state, measuring a first time from a shift determining point to a real shift point if the oil temperature is high, comparing the first time with target time, compensating by reducing duty of a predetermined amount from initial duty if the first time is larger than the target time, measuring a second time from the initial duty point to a feedback start point, comparing the second time with target time, computing compensation time, and controlling and compensating from the initial duty start point to the feedback start point based on the computed compensation time. In the first step, if the oil temperature is low, the method includes the steps of checking whether or not speed of the car is changed into a 2→3 shift in a power-on state after turning on an ignition, reducing a predetermined value from initial duty if 2→3 shift is checked, outputting and compensating, and determining and compensating run-up with turbine RPM change amount if 2→3 shift in the power-on state is not.
