PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that defocusing occurs because a position and a tilt of a lens frame are changed owing to a difference between the expansion ratio of the base stock of the lens frame and that of an adhesive when the adhesive is used in the case of fixedly attaching the lens frame of a collimator lens to a holding part in an optical pickup. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is composed of the collimator lens 12 which converts projection light from a light source 11 into parallel light, the lens frame 23 which holds the collimator lens 12 and the holding part 22 which holds the lens frame 23 so as to be adjusted in the direction of the prescribed optical axis. The position within the surface orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens frame 23 is controlled by abutting the outer periphery of the lens frame 23 on the holding part 22 and also a plurality of places of the outer periphery of the lens frame 23 are fixedly stuck.
