PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house having an earth-floored courtyard that can not only make a room spacious only by saving a corridor but also promote effective use of such courtyard that is not always used. SOLUTION: In the northern part of a U-shaped building in plan view opened in the east direction, an entrance 2 and a family room 6 are arranged. Meanwhile, in the southern part of the building, a hobby room 13 and a workroom 14 are positioned, and entrance and exits 4a, 4b and 14a are individually provided in a form facing a courtyard 1 arranged inside of the U-shaped building.
