PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and easily removing an existing pile in a small operating space during demolishing work of a foundation structure to rebuild a building, etc., and to provide an apparatus for use in the method. SOLUTION: According to the existing pile removing method, after angle cut of the existing pile P is executed, internal peripheral grooves 10 are formed in an inner hole 4 by an internal wall breaking device 6, and then a rotary cutter board 7a of a reinforcement cutter device 7 is revolved about an exposed longitudinal reinforcement 5a while being rotated, to thereby cut the vertical reinforcement 5a. Then, cut grooves 12 are formed in an inner depth of the respective internal peripheral grooves 10. Further, a pile drawing device 9 equipped with wedge plates 9a, 9a to be press-fitted into the cut grooves 12 is inserted into the inner hole 4 in place of the device 6, and the wedge plate 9a is press-fitted into the cut groove 12 to bend and cut the existing pile P at predetermined length, followed by raising the device 9 from the inner hole 4.
