SOLUTION: For the underwater suspension eliminator of the intake 1 providing the underwater suspension inflow preventing net 2 to the cooling water intake 1 for a power plant or the like in the direction intersecting an inflowing water, at least one air supply pipe 6 having a large number of holes 6a is provided downward of the underwater suspension inflow preventing net 2, and at least one turning flow generating device 8 capable of generating the turning flow moving to the direction approximately parallel with the extended direction of the underwater suspension inflow preventing net 2 is provided sideways of the underwater inflow preventing net 2.
