PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep stable performance for a long period without using lubricant, to facilitate production and assembly, and to allow the use of inexpensive plated steel sheet as a bearing plate. SOLUTION: A tilt hinge comprises: a mounting member 6 that has a mounting base 7 and the bearing plate 8, and mounted on a fixing portion side; a spindle 10 journaled not to rotate in a bearing hole 9; a movable plate 11 rotatably mounted to the spindle to be movable in an axial direction; a first movable friction boss 12 and a first fixed friction boss 14 disposed between one side face of the movable plate and the bearing plate so that the first movable friction boss 12 is fixed to one side face of the movable plate and the first fixed friction boss 14 is fixed on one side face of the bearing plate; a second movable friction boss 16 fixed on the other side face of the movable plate; a second fixed friction boss 18 that is movable in a spindle direction and is inserted and fixed not to be rotatable; a spring support washer 20 fixed to the second fixed friction boss; and a spring washer 22 disposed to be brought into contact with the spring support washer. By press-supporting from the other end side of the bearing plate of the spindle to apply load, friction force of each boss acts to control rotating torque of the movable plate thereby to keep an opening/closing portion disposed to the movable plate at an arbitral angle.
