PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device the signal propagation characteristics of which are improved, especially at a frequency of 1 GHz or higher. SOLUTION: A plurality of surface acoustic wave device elements 3 are mounted facedown in a package 1. External connection terminals 2a and 2b for input and external connection terminals 2c and 2d for output, connected with respective surface acoustic device elements 3, are provided at the bottom face 1a of the package 1, and external connection terminals 2e and 2f for ground are provided, respectively, between the external connection terminals 2a and 2b for the input and the external connection terminals 2c and 2d for the output.
