PURPOSE: A method for water-repellent and water resistant processing of a fabric to impart air permeability and water repellency as benefits of a bast fiber fabric to a polyester fabric is provided. Whereby, the fabric has a compact structure and good texture and is light and convenient to handle. CONSTITUTION: Warps of 7,600-9,200 counts/inch obtained by twisting a conjugate yarn of 150-169 DTY with 1,200 TM are weaved with wefts obtained by twisting a conjugate yarn of 150-160 DTY with 1,200 TM to produce a fabric having a density of 54-65T, a density of 54-65T, a width of 54-60inch and a weight of 240g, which is coated with a water repellent agent of fluorine-based resin to form a fine void in the texture of the fabric by heating in a subsequent dying process of the fabric.
