PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium alloy having high strength and high ductility. SOLUTION: The alloy has a composition containing, by atom, 15 to 30% of the group Va elements, 1.5 to 6% oxygen (O) and/or nitrogen (N), and the balance titanium (Ti) with inevitable impurities. The high strength and high ductility titanium alloy can be obtained by reversing the conventional concept, i.e., by incorporating large quantities of O and N therein.
