PURPOSE: A method for controlling air conditioner with multi-compressors is provided to prevent hunting phenomenon of the air conditioner without using a separate equipment. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a step(ST130,ST140,ST160) measuring indoor cooling load proportionally to the duration of working of compressors; and a step(ST150,ST170,ST190) operating an air conditioner by varying compression capacity of the compressors according to measured cooling load. For example, one of the compressors with larger capacity is used when the cooling load is high and the other compressor with smaller capacity is used when the cooling load is low.
