PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling effectiveness of a controller in an engine generator. SOLUTION: A metal pedestal 31 is installed at the bottom part of a soundproof case holding an engine and a generator. An inverter unit 70 is placed directly on the pedestal 31. Between the inverter unit 70 and the pedestal 31 is shaped a cooling air passage 70b. Inside the cooling air passage 70b a plurality of fins 70c are shaped. Heat from the inverter unit 70 is transmitted to the pedestal 31 and radiated, and is cooled effective with introduced outside air which is circulated not only over the upper part and around side parts of the inverter unit 70 but also through the cooling air passage 70b.
