PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety fence for an elevator, easy to transport and storable in a small space. SOLUTION: The car stop safety fence for the elevator to be erected on a car stop 1 around an access 3 to the elevator for preventing the entry of unspecified persons into a working area comprises a pole 11 to be erected to encircle the car stop 1, plastic partition screens 13, 15 to be wrapped round the pole 11 with one ends 13a, 15a locked thereto and the other ends 13b, 15b expanded, holders 14, 16 for holding the partition screens 13, 15 in the expanded condition.
