PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder capable of setting a required corrective force without damaging a passing function of a thin document. SOLUTION: This feeder loads a plurality of kinds of documents 8, 9 and 31 with different width for feeding them between a reference surface 4 and a width determining guide 3 movable in parallel with the reference surface 4. The feeder comprises a sending roller 1 that tilts the roller shaft orthogonally to the document feeding direction 41 and abuts on the loaded documents, a feeding roller 2 for feeding the documents sent by the sending roller 1 to a next process, and a separating roller 19. The sending roller 1 is energized to the reference surface 4 side slidably in parallel to the roller shaft of the sending roller 1, and the downstream side of the sending roller 1 is provided with a roller 19 that contacts with the documents during conveying together with the sending roller 1 and contacts with the documents at a speed higher than the sending roller 1.
