As a result of formation of basic sulfates in gypsum-carbonate buffer, pH 6.4-6.5, extensiveness of purification is by one order of magnitude higher than in hydrolytic methods. Low solubility of carbonate ensures accurately dosed, with no excess, access of reagent into solution to be treated.
