PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the leak rate of the valve secondary side in the fully closed state without stopping operation. SOLUTION: A valve leak detector is provided with a flow meter placed on the outflow side of the valve, a reference leak rate measuring means gaining a measured flow rate with the flow meter when the valve is fully closed in a specific reference state, and an abnormality judging means for comparing a postulated value of the reference leak rate measuring means and the measured flow rate of the flow meter when the valve is fully closed in normal use and judging abnormality of valve leak from the difference.
