PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type display device miniaturizable with a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this pointer type display device, in which a magnetic member 25 is rotated by a magnetic flux generated corresponding to excitation by an exciting means 35, and a pointer 20 is rotated by the rotation up to a rotation angle corresponding to the measuring quantity, to thereby display the measuring quantity, the magnetic member 25 is characterized by being polarized so that the magnetic force is gradually changed in the range from the N-pole to the S-pole at least in one rotation direction in the rotation range.
