PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new aminodihydroxybenzoic acids, and also to provide a production method used for the same. SOLUTION: [1] The aminodihydroxybenzoic acids are represented by general formula (1). [2] The method for producing the aminodihydroxybenzoic acids represented by general formula (1), is characterized in reducing nitrosodihydroxybenzoic acids or nitrosodihydroxybenzoic acids each represented by general formula (2). [3] The method for producing the nitrodihydroxybenzoic acids represented by general formula (2) [wherein, n is an integer of 2], is characterized in nitrosating dihydroxybenzoic acids represented by general formula (3) and then oxidizing them. [4] The method for producing the nitrosodihydroxybenzoic acids represented by general formula (2) [wherein, n is an integer of 1], is characterized in nitrosating the dihydroxybenzoic acids represented by general formula (3).
