PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety-net engaging structure proper for stretching a safety net for preventing falling by utilizing shape steel in the periphery of an opening section or the like at a construction work site. SOLUTION: The safety-net engaging structure is composed of a through-hole 17 formed to the horizontal edge section 4a of shape steel 4 and an engaging metal fitting 9 detachably engaged with the through-hole 17. The engaging metal fitting 9 is formed by bending a hair pin-shaped wire rod formed by folding back one wire rod 13, and has a horizontal supporting section 14 placed on the horizontal edge section 4a of the shape steel 4, a U-shaped hook section 15, which is continued at one end of the horizontal supporting section 14 and in which the folding-back end 13a of the wire rod 13 is formed in an upward front end, and an engaging section 16 continued at the other end of the horizontal supporting section 14 and downwards penetrated to the through-hole 17. The engaging structure is constituted in such a manner that an engaging section 18 for preventing a slipping-off from the through-hole 17 is formed on the free end side of the engaging section 16 and a peripheral rope 20 for the safety net 8 is engaged with the hook section 15.
