PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber-base pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which can realize an improvement in the working environment and a reduction in the load on the environment, is excellent in tackiness at both ordinary temperature and a high temperature, heat resistance, tack at a low temperature, releasability at a low temperature, and the like, and is free the occurrence of a residual adhesive on an adherend after peeling, to prepare a pressure- sensitive adhesive tape made by using the adhesive composition, and to provide its production process. SOLUTION: The rubber-base pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains a rubber component containing at least one kind of rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubbers and synthetic rubbers, a tackifier resin, an organic peroxide, and a benzimidazole compound. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is made by using the composition, and its production process is provided.
