PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can shorten an arc generation time and can control distortion of a contact and a housing caused by arc heat. SOLUTION: The connector 11 is provided with a female connector housing 13 having a female terminal 12 and a male connector housing 15 having a male terminal 14. The female terminal 12 and the male terminal 14 are constituted so as to be able to be electrically connected when the female connector housing 13 and the male connector housing 15 are locked. The female connector housing 13 is provided with a coil spring 16 to increase a releasing speed of both of the terminals 12 and 14 when both of the housings 13 and 15 are unlocked. This procedure can shorten the arc generation time between both of the terminals 12 and 14 because both of the terminals 12 and 14 can be quickly released when both of the housings 13 and 15 are unlocked.
