PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing device and a reinforcing method capable of simply and efficiently reinforcing a joining part of a wooden building at site without using too heavy and bulky metallic fittings and causing a frayed part of fibers due to a lag screw and the reduction of strength while keeping the strength and aseismatic performance sufficiently. SOLUTION: (1) This reinforcing device of the joining part in the wooden building consists of a tapelike object 1 whose at least both right and left ends are folded back and which is provided with through holes 5A, 5B passing through folded-back parts 4A, 4B vertically, washers 2A, 2B provided in the folded-back parts, and joining members 3A, 3B inserted into the through holes 5a, 5B through the washers and selected from the lag screw or a bolt and a nut, and the tapelike object is composed of composite fibers composed of aramid fibers only or aramid fibers and other reinforced fibers. (2) This reinforcing method for the joining part in the wooden building is constituted such that the joining parts in the wooden building are mutually joined using the reinforcing device.
