PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform concentration blow appropriately in a boiler performing concentration blow at a specified concentration blow rate for supply water. SOLUTION: The boiler 1 comprises water supply piping 2 for the boiler 1, a water supply pump 3 installed in the way of the water supply piping, blow piping 5 for taking out boiler water from the boiler, a blow control valve 6 disposed in the way of the blow piping, a unit 4 for calculating the supply water of the boiler, and an operation controller 8 of the boiler wherein the operation controller 8 controls can bottom blow for discharging sludge in the boiler together with boiler water and concentration blow for discharging concentrated boiler water in the boiler. When can bottom blow is performed, concentration blow is not performed until supply water after can bottom blow reaches a concentration blow starting quantity. When the concentration blow starting quantity is reached, concentration blow is performed at a constant rate for the supply water.
