The dowel consists of a sleeve (1) the end of which has longitudinal slits (4). The end with slits is spread on mounting by a bolt with conical head which is forced into the sleeve. The sleeve further incorporates a zone which allows the sleeve to be compressed endways. The compression zone is formed by two sets of sicked shaped slots in the sleeve wall. The pointed ends of the slots face one another and slightly overlap so that strips (12) are formed which are bent when force is applied to the end of the sleeve by the bolt. |
