There is described a wheelbarrow (10) comprising: a support memeber (19) extending transversely across the wheelbarrow (10) and located rearwardly of the wheel (20) such that when the body (42) is removed from the main frame (12) an article can be carried on the support member (19). The wheelbarrow (10) is characterised in that the support member (19) is secured to the main frame (12) on either side above the bottom of the ground engaging support portions (14).
