PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent minute vibration of a lock pin. SOLUTION: This valve timing control device comprises: a vane rotor 20; a housing rotor 30 which rotatably stores the vane rotor 20; the lock pin 40 which can locks relative rotating movement between the vane rotor 20 and the housing rotor 30; and an OCV 50 which controls oil pressure of an advance angle pressure chamber AC and a delay angle pressure chamber RC. The lock pin 40 is formed so as to be moved by a pressure deference between a first fluid passage 11 communicating with the advance angle pressure chamber AC and the delay angle pressure chamber RC to carry out locking operation and locking releasing operation. When the lock pin 40 is in a locking state, communicating passages 31a, 22a, 23b, 23, 43, 45, 44, 23d, 23c and 22b which make communication between the advance angle pressure chamber AC and the delay angle pressure chamber RC are provided thereby preventing the lock pin 40 from being directly affected by a pressure fluctuation of the advance angle pressure chamber AC, the delay angle pressure chamber RC, and the first fluid passage 11.
