PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the smooth operating feeling by securely preventing the generation of noise due to an interference between a spider shaft part and a needle bearing and restricting the bending torque of a steering shaft without raising a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The spider shaft part 6 is fitted in a bearing hole 4 of a yoke 1 through the needle bearing 5 freely to rotate. The yokes 1 and 2 are locally deformed at a part near the hearing hole 4 to restrict a radial directional clearance of the needle bearing 5 to zero or near zero. Or, after concluding assembling of the joint, a part thereof near the needle bearing 5 is locally deformed to restrict the radial directional clearance of the needle bearing 5 to zero or near zero.
