PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric stove capable of heating a position separate from a front surface of the stove without raising capacity of a heater and simultaneously heating a forward wide range. SOLUTION: The electric stove comprises a linear carbon resistance heater 4 having a rectangular sectional shape in a stove body 1 and a heater unit 5 made of a tube 3 covering its outer periphery. In this stove, the heater 4 is arranged so that a long side of the section of the heater 4 is directed toward a substantially front surface of the stove body 1, and hence a primary radiation heat of the heater can be concentrically radiated to the front surface of the body 1. Further, the radiating heat radiated rearward of the heater is diffused in various directions by a reflecting plate 2 obtained by connecting planar reflecting surfaces 2a, and hence the wide range of the front surface separated from the body can be heated without enlarging the heater or the body 1.
