PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce self-excited vibration by improving lubricity of a retainer and reduce generation of abnormal noise and heating due to friction by improving lubricity of a retainer in an angular contact ball bearing with a seal and reduce temperature rise resulting from the self-excited vibration and the friction of an angular contact ball bearing with a seal used for supporting the main shaft for a machining tool, and improve the processing accuracy of the machine tool. SOLUTION: In the angular contact ball bearing 11, the retainer 7 is provided with a plurality of cylindrical pockets 8 to retain balls 6 as rotating materials in the peripheral direction, and a diameter-contracting part 9 regulating the radial movement of the retainer 7 while keeping the ball 6 into contact with the edge of the pocket 8 and it is supported by the guiding balls 6 and constituted of synthetic resin materials. The main shaft device 20 supports the spindle 21 by the angular contact ball bearing 1.
