PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure for steel segments, which can connect ends of main girders of the adjacent steel segments to each other, and can very efficiently cover the natural ground of a large sectional tunnel. SOLUTION: According to the joint structure, both the steel segments 1 each consisting of the plurality of main girders 2 and a skin plate 4 set on the natural ground side of the girders, are connected together by welding. At this time, the ends of the main girders 1 are connected together by welding. Then, cutoff ribs 4a are formed at edges of each skin plate 4 in a manner being spaced away from an edge of the main girder 2, and a sealing material 8 formed of rubber is interposed between the cutoff ribs 4a, 4a of the adjacent skin plates 4.
