PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise, produced by a collision between one step part and a lid, by preventing a gap from being made between the step part and the lid. SOLUTION: A drop-lid type side ditch is equipped with a side ditch body 1 and the lid 6; the body 1, which has an opened part 4 on an upper side, is formed of a horizontal wall 2 and side walls 3 provided on the right and left sides of the horizontal wall 2, and the step part 5 is formed in a part at a prescribed depth from an upper end of a side wall of the opened part 4; in the lid 6 fitted into the opened part 4 of the body 1, both side parts in a width direction are supported on the step part 5, and a drain ditch is formed at least at either of longitudinal ends; and the centroid of the lid 6 is located on the side of either of the side parts in the width direction.
