PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for suppressing a manufacturing cost, and causing no leakage of an X-ray. SOLUTION: This image display device has an electron source board having a plurality of electron emitting elements arranged in a matrix on the board and wiring for driving the respective electron emitting elements, an image forming member having a fluorescent screen and an electrode oppositely arranged on the electron source board, and a support member for supporting the electron source board and the image forming member, and has an X-ray shielding member for passing the visible light and shielding the X-ray on the outside of the image forming member.
