PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide connector having a built-in integrated circuit, enabled to reduce the size, the weight and the cost, for example, when applied as a control unit to an automobile. SOLUTION: The connector with a built-in integrated circuit 21 has a structure of housing an integrated circuit package 22 in a connector housing 24 in such a manner that lead pins 22a of the integrated circuit package are enabled to touch the contacts 23a of a female connector 23 to be inserted into a female connector fitting hollow part 24. For example, the in connector 21 constructs a control unit of an automobile by the circuit construction of the integrated circuit package 22. As the lead pins 22a of the integrated circuit package 22 are directly utilized as the male contacts of the connector, the connector is enabled to realize reduction of the size, the weight and the cost, comparing with the previous control unit of an automobile having a structure of mounting integrated circuit packages and various kind of electronic parts and connectors on a printed circuit board, and housing the above printed board in a case.
