PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing method that efficiently records and displays character information denoting contents when audio data such as a music source are mainly recorded. SOLUTION: Audio data are arranged in an A (audio) pack, and character information associated with the audio data and display time data are arranged to an A-CONT(audio control) pack. A display time decoder 51 separates the display time data in the A-CONT pack into display start time data and display end time data, which are respectively applied to a start comparator 52 and an end comparator 53, the character data are converted into display use dot matrix character data by a character data decoder 54 and stored in a buffer 55. The start comparator 52 and the end comparator 53 compare addresses of data of the display start time and the display end time with an A pack address to control the display time of characters.
