PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for a kitchen range which prevents soup boiled over from a pan from getting into an ignition burner port, which prevents clogging, and which has excellent ignition performance. SOLUTION: A burner cover 5 is fixed with a plurality of locking support shafts 8 installed on the upper part of a burner cap 6 and a fixing support shaft 9. The fixing support shaft 9 is constituted at a position away from the upper face of the ignition burner port part 10 of the burner cap 6. The soup boiled over which has overbrimmed from the pan dribbles onto the burner cover 5, and the overbrimmed cooked soup flows toward a main flame port and an auxiliary flame port. However, the overbrimmed soup does not get into the ignition burner port part 10 and the clogging of the port does not occur. Thus, the excellent ignition performance is acquired.
