摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of foam glass is provided to increase foaming efficiency, induce homogeneous foaming reaction and produce large-sized block. The resultant foam glass is excellent in heat insulation, plastering, sound insulation and processability. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of foam glass comprises the steps of: crushing waste fluorescent lamps removing impurities like Hg to glass powder of less than 150mesh; coating powder type mold release agent, not being sintered over 1200deg.C, on the wall of a form; adding 0.5wt.% of non-oxidized carbon graphite to 100pts.wt. of glass powder heated to 720deg.C for a first mixture; adding at least one compound selected from the group consisting of K2SO4, Na2SO4 and Fe2O3 to supply oxygen for a second mixture; pouring the second mixture into the form; heating at a rate of 3-5deg.C/min to 730-780deg.C and holding for 30min; heating at 930-980deg.C for 30min; and air cooling.
