PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufted carpet having protective functions for corruption and ablation, excellent in durability and producible at a low cost. SOLUTION: This tufted carpet comprises, as a unit, a base cloth 1, a first face A having loop piles 2a and/or cut piles, a second face B having stitched piles 2b and a surface covering layer 3 covering the second face B, wherein the loop piles 2a are formed on one side of the base cloth 1 to be raised up by piercing a pile yarn 2 through the base cloth 1, the stitched piles 2b is formed by the pile yarn 2 on the other side of the base cloth 1 and the surface covering layer 3 is clear or colored with a different color from those of the base cloth and the pile yarn 2. The face for use (surface) is the second face B.
