PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment for printing two-dimensional encoded reception data in an MMR system in a prescribed order by splitting the data into a plurality of pages, capable of reducing any wasteful extension processing, and improving processing efficiency. SOLUTION: Two-dimensional encoded reception data are extended/re- compressed, and when the reception data are re-compressed, the leading lines of the split pages are re-compressed by one-dimensional encoding, and the offset values are stored. When the reception data are printed, extension processing for printing is immediately operated from the leading lines of the page in the middle of those split pages by referring to the offset value.
